Infrared inspection in NYC
Vertix Diagnostics provides infrared inspection throughout New York City — Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island. Thermal imaging identifies overheating electrical connections, hidden water leaks in risers and slabs, envelope intrusion, and saturated roof insulation, without opening finishes. We produce the report and never bid the repair.

Commercial building thermal imaging inspection in the five boroughs
New York's building stock concentrates the hardest version of every problem we work on. Risers run dozens of floors, so the apartment reporting a stain is rarely the one with the leak. Mechanical rooms are dense and switchgear runs continuously. Roofs are crowded with equipment, and most trapped moisture starts at a curb or a drain surrounded by pavers.
Surveys are scheduled around building operations — after hours where required, coordinated with the super or managing agent, and documented so findings can go straight to a board, a contractor, or a carrier.

- Industrial and converted loft buildings
Borough by borough
Every borough has its own hub page and its own neighborhood pages — 351 across the metro area — because a brownstone in Park Slope, a curtain-wall tower in Midtown and a waterfront building in Howard Beach fail in different ways and are surveyed differently.
Common questions
Infrared inspection in NYC — answered.
How quickly can you get to a building in Manhattan or Brooklyn?
For an active leak or an electrical concern we prioritise scheduling and can often survey within a day or two. Roof moisture surveys are scheduled around weather and time of day, because the scan depends on the roof releasing stored heat after sunset.
Do you work with managing agents and co-op boards?
Regularly. Findings are documented with thermal and visual images, temperature data, and locations, formatted so a board or managing agent can act on them or forward them to a carrier without translation. Multi-building scheduling is handled directly.
Can you inspect an occupied building?
Yes. Infrared work is non-contact and non-destructive, so surveys proceed with residents and staff in place. Electrical work is coordinated with qualified electrical personnel where access to energised equipment is required.

Thermal imaging building inspection, NYC
A thermal imaging building inspection covers the whole property in one discipline: electrical equipment under load, the roof field after sunset, the envelope from outside, and piping running through slabs and chases.
On a New York building that combination is usually more efficient than commissioning each separately, because access and scheduling are the hard part and one mobilisation covers several of them.
Infrared thermography services, NYC
Infrared thermography services in New York City cover electrical surveys, roof moisture surveys, leak detection, envelope investigation and due diligence work, performed with FLIR E96 and T865 cameras and confirmed with a second instrument in every case.
All of it is independent. We produce the report and never bid the work it recommends.

Why us and not a plumber
We write the report. We never bid the repair.
A plumber who finds your leak also sells you the repair. A roofer who inspects your roof also quotes the replacement. That isn't dishonesty — it's structure, and it quietly shapes every finding. We are an independent diagnostic company: we do not perform repairs, we do not sell materials, and we take no referral fee from any contractor. The report is the entire product, so there is nothing for us to gain by finding more than is there.
We can't profit from the work we recommend, because we don't do the work. If your roof is 8% wet, the report says 8% — not "replace the field."
We accept nothing from contractors for sending work their way. Take our findings to your own plumber, roofer, or electrician, or put them out to bid.
Boards, managing agents, and insurance carriers treat an independent finding differently than an estimate from the company that wants the job.
Sometimes the answer is condensation, or a warm duct, or a neighbor's roof. We're paid the same either way, so we say so.
