Infrared inspection on Long Island
Vertix Diagnostics provides infrared inspection across Long Island, covering Nassau and Suffolk counties. Thermal imaging locates electrical faults, hidden water leaks, envelope intrusion and trapped roof moisture without cutting into the building. We are independent — we produce the report and never bid the repair work it recommends.

Commercial infrared inspection on Long Island
Long Island's commercial stock runs from village storefronts and medical offices to distribution warehouses along the expressway corridors, and the diagnostic problems differ with each. Warehouses bring large low-slope roof fields where trapped moisture hides until it reaches the deck. Medical and professional buildings bring critical power that cannot go down during hours.
Commercial infrared inspection covers all of it: switchgear and distribution equipment under load, roof fields surveyed after sunset, envelopes read from outside, and buried service lines located acoustically.

Thermal imaging inspection across Nassau and Suffolk
Thermal imaging inspection and infrared inspection describe the same work — a calibrated camera measuring surface temperature to reveal what is happening inside an assembly. On Long Island the most common calls are slab leaks in houses on grade, roof saturation on flat commercial roofs, and electrical faults in buildings whose service was extended piecemeal over decades.
Every thermal finding is confirmed with a second instrument — a moisture meter, an acoustic correlator, or tracer gas — before it appears in a report you can hand to a contractor.

Common questions
Infrared inspection on Long Island — answered.
What does an infrared inspection on Long Island cost?
Pricing depends on the building, the service, and the size of the area surveyed — a single-family slab leak investigation and a 60,000 square foot warehouse roof survey are different jobs. We quote a flat inspection price after a short conversation about what you are seeing, rather than an hourly rate that grows while we search.
Do you cover Suffolk County as well as Nassau?
Yes. Our service area spans Long Island across Nassau and Suffolk, along with the five boroughs of New York City. Travel time to eastern Suffolk can affect scheduling, so give us as much notice as you can for those addresses.
Are you a plumbing or roofing company?
No, and that is the point. We perform diagnostics only. We do not repair, re-pipe, re-roof, or perform electrical work, and we accept no referral fees from the contractors who do. The report is our entire product, so nothing in it is shaped by work we would stand to win.

Infrared thermography services, Long Island
Infrared thermography services across Nassau and Suffolk cover the same five disciplines — electrical, roof moisture, leak detection, envelope investigation and due diligence — for commercial, multifamily and residential property.
Thermography is the technical name for the discipline; an infrared inspection is what it produces. Both describe measuring surface temperature with a calibrated camera to find what a visual inspection cannot reach.

Why us and not a plumber
We write the report. We never bid the repair.
A plumber who finds your leak also sells you the repair. A roofer who inspects your roof also quotes the replacement. That isn't dishonesty — it's structure, and it quietly shapes every finding. We are an independent diagnostic company: we do not perform repairs, we do not sell materials, and we take no referral fee from any contractor. The report is the entire product, so there is nothing for us to gain by finding more than is there.
We can't profit from the work we recommend, because we don't do the work. If your roof is 8% wet, the report says 8% — not "replace the field."
We accept nothing from contractors for sending work their way. Take our findings to your own plumber, roofer, or electrician, or put them out to bid.
Boards, managing agents, and insurance carriers treat an independent finding differently than an estimate from the company that wants the job.
Sometimes the answer is condensation, or a warm duct, or a neighbor's roof. We're paid the same either way, so we say so.
